Default Historics Fall Season Race 4 - Ahvenisto

Join us on Sunday November 19th for the fourth event in the Historics 2017 Fall Season - Ahvenisto.

This is a wild rollercoaster of a track! Passing will be difficult with all these blind crests and curves.

This event will be standing start. AC now allows gear selection before the green, but be aware that it also allows (and penalizes) false starts! So don't go before the green!

We will run 1x fuel, with a mandatory pit stop. The pit window is open for the entire race. You must take at least 1 liter of fuel during your stop, but tire changes are optional.

The server is set for 2 minutes between the Qualifying session expiring and the start of the race. Be sure to check the remaining time when the session advances so as not to get caught out.

The Orange Zone for this event will be through T7 as shown here on the track map.

    Race Schedule
    Practice: 8-8:45 p.m. Central Time (US) - 45 min
    Qualify: 8:45-9:00 p.m. Central Time (US) – 15 min
    Warmup: 9:00-9:05 p.m. Central Time (US) - 5 min
    Race: 9:05 p.m. Central Time (US) - 60 min

Note that AC (finally) supports timed races, so the lap count will not be pre-determined.

Wow, this place is wild! Very technical too: A small mistake can easily cost you a second or more, and a slightly larger one can really bend up the car.

Managed about 30 laps on the host server so far, and Hernan jumped on too, so there are some laptimes up there--let us know if you can see them should you jump on. If anyone else has already been on, I can report I was not seeing any of yours.

Hockenheim setup seems to be in the ballpark--certainly you'll want the short gearing and even then won't top out in fifth.

    <[Re-] benditty bend bend bend.

    Everyone all set for Sunday??
This will be a though one, no nap allowed on the main straight.... oh oh, there's no main straigth!

Proper line for T2 and T4 will shave a lot of time.
    I'm running :
    springs 44/30
    diff 20/60

Well, the big Windows update doesn't seem to have broken anything (I was just able to connect to both AC servers). After a couple of weeks away from it, I'm sure I'm rusty. Hope to get some more laps in sometime Saturday, day or evening US (MST).

See you guys if I see you, or at least on Sunday.

I'm sure you're faster than most of us even when rusty, soooo can you please stay rusty?

Hehe. If I'm rusty, it won't be by choice, no.

Quite sure I can stay "old" though. With bad vision and a wonky clutch leg.
