Yeah we have a lot of 60's Le Mans competitors now- throw in the GTO and Cobra for multiclass...

big thanks to Chris Snow for pushing me off the track in turn three on the very first lap. I had been preparing for this race for over a week, and put aside some important personal plans only to be shoved into the grassy banks without even completing a lap. enjoy your hollow victory, that's one way to beat me.

I watched the replay several times from different camera angles, and to me it seems that you were the one causing the collision, you were behind and turned into Christopher's car.

I can understand your frustration, but I don't think it's a good thing to throw groundless accusations around

Sorry to miss this but I got held up and didnt get home in time. Seems like fun and I was stoked about making it. Just a thought Joseph, its all fun, and you may only get one shot at flaming a driver here in public before you get to race in another league. Snowman is a gentleman.

    Regards
    Rick

Joseph, is very important on this business calm down and see the replay before post something like this.
I was behind you both, and Christopher was clearly on the inside, and clearly ahead of you when you turn right at his side and touch his car, causing your incident.

I watched the replay, and yes, that was pretty much what happened.

Im just saying that is important think and maybe PM the other driver to discuss the matter behind closed doors, before use public forum to something like this.

Joseph, I'm sorry your race ended prematurely, and doubly sorry the collision with me caused it, but I've looked at the replay many times now and in great detail, and I'm completely comfortable with my own driving and my own actions leading up to it. To borrow a turn of phrase (and in this case I'm borrowing from Mihaly* from his look at our Escort race the night before) it was essentially "a racing incident" and nothing more. The accusation you tossed my way momentarily after (in the server race chat) which I can't quote directly but which was something like "Chris just crashed me out in Turn three" was, I have to say, not a fair characterization of it at all*...

[* and which I think the replay clearly shows]

...and it's an example of just one of the (very good!) reasons we are admonished not to type anything in race chat. I'm so new to racing AC that I just happened to have left my chat on, so I DID see your comments--if you care to watch any of the replay at all, or anything after our collision you will see that I pulled off the track after the hairpin with the idea of typing back to you (and despite your misplaced accusation) that I would wait for you up ahead, but before I could get stopped you quickly followed up with your sarcasm and left the server. Then (judging by the timestamp on your post) you came over here to repeat your accusation and vent your frustration only minutes after.

I'm entirely confident that, at best, the only replay you could possibly have seen at that point was your own, but I'd bet dollars against dimes you didn't look at it before posting--I know you couldn't have seen it before typing in race-chat because you were typing only a few seconds after our collision. Had you done so...or maybe it's more accurate to say "had I done so in your place"...I like to think you wouldn't have posted it at all. But that's me and I've learned that it's almost always a good idea not to rant without thinking it through first for a few moments, and with as much calmness as you can muster.

You were clearly frustrated and I DO understand that--I've been there many times myself--and I know it's never made easier if you invested a lot of time and preparation beforehand. Or called in favors to be able to race at all. So once again, I AM sorry that you were put out of the race prematurely, and I wish we could rewind it all and get off to a better start racing one another. I was hoping for a better race--and more fun--myself, but it is what it is and was what it was.

As it turned out, three of us DID have quite a close battle at the end, and I'm sorry you missed out on a chance at that too. I hope we have better racing between us down the road, and certainly longer lasting racing as well. I suppose we will both find out.
