Default DiRT4: Modern & Historic League Announcement

No panic guys, they are (still) not available ingame so far. So please normalize your breath

Leagues, or clubs as the will be called in DiRT4, is the thing most of us are waiting for. Career modes are almost done, Jam sessions are fun but, due to having players all over the world and a maximum of 8 players at once, not satisfying at all.

To get some experience with that new stuff, that even may be helpful for a forthcoming CMS-Championship Season, I plan to start 2 championships shortly after clubs have been implemented into the game.

I have already created a website where you can find all the necessary information about both championships. It can be found here: ..:: DiRT4 Leagues ::..

Why 2 championships? One for modern 4WD and one for historic 2WD cars. I did some tests with a friend to find out which cars to nominate for the championships so that you can win it no matter which car you choose.

Please feel free to tell me what you think of the website, maybe you miss some information?! As the cars are fix you might already want to sign up for one or even both championships. Please use therefor the email-address shown in the ‘rules’-section on the website.

Relaxed Sunday to you and we hopefully meet in at least one of the championships…

CM answered my question 'Any news on when clubs will be available' yesterday with 'it won't be long' !!
So you may start signing up from now on boys. You can sign up via email, in this thread or the thread I've started at RD.

Hope to see many of you there

I shall give the cars a try but considering I don't like either the 4WD's (much, they can be fun but generally somewhat boring to me) or the RWD's (far too much grip, impossible to go for powerslides, which should be far easier. And yes, I do have experience from RWD's on Gravel) you probably shouldn't expect me to show up unless they've changed the cars quite a bit.

The Escort MkII on gravel is a beast on a loose surface in my opinion. And also the Kadett tends to oversteer at high revs... In general you are right, but I think the challenge in D4 is to drive really fast, even when the cars semm to be easier to handle as they did in DR. So you might think about taking this challenge

What's a matter? Chicken ?? Join and see how good you are against others regardless of conditions. Will be fun, come on.
Walter has put a lot of effort in this to make it interesting as possible.

Kind of a moot point until CM fixes leagues.

The problem is that it's no fun when you can't get the car to slide. I've been doing everything with the Kadett, both driving style and setup (this is a couple months ago now) but it just continually understeered at the time, I would always end off the road front 1st. With an RWD I'd expect to at least a few times, when going off, have the rear end swap on me, not even putting the brakes fully to the rear (as far as it is allowed) would make the rear end swap on me

But as I said, I'll give the cars a go, if I find one that is fun to drive, I'll partake in a couple of the events at least, not sure how much time I'll have for Rallies on the side of everything else I'm doing (2 endurance series, 2 broadcast series duties, the RSRBR Champ, 2 other championships and work).

Have joined the Steam group, will have a fiddle with D4 in the next few days and sign up once I have decided which cars to go with.
