    Default Thoughts on TPSCC

    Good Morning Everyone!

I'd appreciate getting y'all's thoughts on TPSCC if you don't mind.

    - How does it drive?
    - Any comparisions to NR2K3?

The cars seem a little herky jerky to me. Hard to keep the car steady through the corners, always having to work the steering wheel and you can't just pull it to the bottom and hold it. It could be my setup or even the steering wheel settings I use, other than that they drive pretty good. As for a comparison to N2K3, it's just different....I've had 5 years with N2K3 and one night with TPSCC so for now thats all I can give you Henry. The biggest issue is the apron is instant wreck and there are issues with pace and yellow laps.

I've run 10 races or so now with it, and I really like it better than N2003 for sure. Like Jeff Said there is an issue with getting used to the steering. You have to in many cases tweak your steering lock and sensitivity settings on a track by track basis. It's described at this link

    http://www.thepits.us/board/viewtopic.php?t=9054

The Apron issue that Jeff talked about I believe is really a JAXBR Track issue only. I havent had that sort of a problem on any of the other tracks that I've run yet.

The best thing about it is the rFactor multiplayer code. You can rub and run door to door in this, unlike you could in N2003. The collision detection is much better.

By no means is it perfect, and I think many folks are hoping ARCA sim racing will bridge the gap on the issues, but it's a huge step in the right direction and thePits team has done a great job with what they had to work with in the rFactor engine not being originally desigined for all the details of the Stock Car Rules.

I've heard ISI is working on either another Stock Car related patch to help further, or they will be addressing some of the issues in rFactor 2.

Henry you should download it and play with it -- it's FREE!
