Road Atlanta / Cut Track??? / DQ'd!!!!!

Hi all,

I want to start off by saying that I had a great time tonight at Road Atlanta. At least for the first 24 laps that is... I don't want to sound like a bad sport, but after lap 24, I'm firmly in 4th place, then BAM the screen stops... the finish screen comes up... and it says I'm DQ'd !!! That I know of, I had one cut track WARNING, at the bottom of the hill before the pit enterence. That's the place you get the cut track warning even though all four tires are firmly on the track!!! Anyway, unless I just wasn't paying attention during the rest of the race, that was the only time it said cut track. I guess it's possible I missed it while I was in the bathroom, or while I was cooking dinner, but I don't think so .

Anyway, what a great time those 24 laps were!!! I'm so looking forward to the next race!!!

Hey Rich - don't take this the wrong way, but I'm so glad I'm not the only one you got caught out by this!!

I know the corner you mean - I got done there 3 times and I'm a little pissed off 'cause it ruined an other wise highly enjoyable race. Could this be classed as a bug in the track?

Really sorry that happened ... you had a great run going tonight. That track had a few spots for sure that the cut track stuff was extremely challenging ...

At any rate, dont let it get you down. Glad you found us and you are sure to have a fun time racing with this bunch. It's a great group of guys here and we have a nice little community on the forums as well -- so welcome!

I ended up serving 3 stop and gos because of it.. It IS a big bug in that track but we all had the same track so I guess it was fair. I had a blast guys hope all you did too.

yes that definitely sucks...I wish we could disable cut track warnings alltogether....that one left/right before the final hill is a prime passing spot, but you can't go NEAR the inside corner!!
