Next series at Champion Fun races

It looks like we are going to go with the Australian Porsche cup 2007 season for our next series of races. This mod runs in GTR2 so those of you that don't have it yet need to grab a copy ASAP. We can walk you through all the updates, upgrades, and tweaks needed. We want to run the "Weather" version of GTR2 so we can have random weather that changes DURING the race. I hope our server provider will allow us to load this onto our server.

We still need to find several of the tracks in GTR2 format for this series. If ANYBODY knows where to find: Albert Park FOUND!, Winton FOUND! or Ipswich AKA Queensland please post a link here.

Anyone wanting to "paint your wagon" and have your own skin should send their skins to Bob Dunlop or Wesley Tribble for inclusion into the series. Charlie has done some personal skins for some people and his work is Amazing. We need to thank him for his work on providing all the prepackaged skins in the game and for his work on this mod in general.

There was some discussion as to whether we wanted to keep track of points this season or not. It was decided to keep this as just a fun series with no "official" points scored. Most of us race in other "serious" leagues where points are kept and driver and team championships awarded. We decided to just keep this "low pressure". You don't have to spend hours practicing, tweaking setups or beating your head against the wall because your championship season is ruined because you got disco'd half way thru a race.

I'm sure I've forgotten some detail or three so just ask your questions here and Bob, Dave or myself will answer them if possible (we don't know everything you know).

Let's all have another great time here at Champion for this next season and everyone invite somebody to join us for the festivities.

If anybody can teach me how to convert skybox.gmt's i might be able to get Queensland and Winton done..had Queensland converted but the track was blue

I was told that it might be the skybox wasnt converted right.

I installed the car last night, got it put on my profile, and tested and it worked fine....WOOHOO!!! I get to race again!!!

Charlie I converted Winton so all we need is Queensland. Have you changed the name of the "sky" file looked for in the track file? Change extension to GTR and make sure it is located in the "shared" folder.

I picked up a copy of GTR2 on Saturday from the local Best Buy. I wasn't planning to get this title, because the last thing I need is another demand on my time, but you guys convinced me. So far I like it lot. I even got my MoTeC working last night, so I'm ready to roll!
