I managed to get on after Glen and I got our collective minds together via Team Speak.

The RFM extraction created an RFM folder in RFM instead of "placing the files" in the RFM folder in Game Data. Just drag the files out to the RFM directory.

.HDV file did not update to 12/27/2012 version.

Not sure of the inner workings of the downloads posted to the forum but IMO it seems to be double zipped. When extracting it creates another RAR file instead of the .exe. You have to unzip a 2nd time to get the .exe. Feel free to correct me or add your thoughts. I'm just fishing.

This may not help everyone but I did this.
I Downloaded the mod with patch "FormulaBMW-patch2.2" opened the zip and extracted the formulabmwmain.rar and formulabmwpatch.rar to a folder.
Next I opened the formulabmwmain.rar and extracted formula bmw 2.0 full.exe to a folder then I ran the full.exe to install the base mod.
Once the base mod was installed I opened the formulabmwpatch.rar and extracted the gamedata and rFm folders into my rFactor folder structure.
The only odd part was I did get an rfm mismatch the first time I logged onto the server so I ran the patch install again and it worked fine after that.
I really don't like the way they compressed the mod and patch as .Rar files and thenput them into a .zip.

Wow, these Formula BMWs on Sebring Club are FUN!!! You don't have to be an alien to keep them on the track, but it takes real skill to get the lap times down. If we get a good turnout next weekend, this will be a great race
