Default Fun Series, 9-29 "belly flop"

It was a rough start for the 2012 fun series, I was plagued with sever lag and major SW problems with my system. That coupled with three difficult tracks and MOD that requires serious practice to master led to a not so fun night of racing.

So we'll just 86 the evening and look for sunny skies next week.

I think the best thing is go back to the fun series "classic Format", running lower HP, well handling cars, for five or six weeks cars on time tested tracks. Using that format allows competitive racing with a minimal amount of practice.

We're also giving strong consideration to running a Kart series in the relative near future, stay tuned for updates.

Hey Kevin, I wasn't able to make Sunday's event, so I don't know all the details, but don't be afraid of higher-hp cars in the Fun Series. Some of my favorite Fun Series events were series like Formula 1, IndyCar, and the Power & Glory muscle car mods. It's great to be able to run a huge variety of cars throughout the year.

But, I agree with the format of 5 or 6 event series running on familiar tracks, makes it easier to "have fun" on Sunday nights. Sometimes the first event or so with a new mod is rough, but by the time you get to the third or fourth race, everything falls into place.

This is the Porsche Cup mod correct? At the 'ring we ran TC and ABS, it actually took me awhile to realize why I found these cars to controllable

I liked the cars but hated the track. There were no defined brake points and it all looked the same for miles on end. I tried but just couldn't connect with it. I'll take barber in Atlanta or road america any day over that.

I'll second that. Not to mention the "quick sand"... drop even one tire in that stuff and it literally yanked the car off the track. Perhaps realistic, but not "fun". If I want to be severely punished for even the slightest mistake, I'll drive Monaco :-)
