Champion Motorsports Megane Challenge

Next season,starting August 2nd,Champion Motorsports will be running the "Champion Motorsports Megane Challenge"
The platform will be rFactor.
We will be running the Endurance cars.
Server password is frog
Races will be a timed event of 45 minutes.
1 hour practice.
15 minutes Qualifying.
5 minutes warmup.
Fuel usage will be set to 2x
All starts will be "Formation/Standing" Make sure you familiar with this procedure
Formation/Standing is very cool way to start because it gives you a chance to warm up your tires and brakes!
Full flags.
50% Damage.
No aids
Open setup
"Track time" for race will be 4:00 pm 4x...that means the last few minutes of the race you may need your headlights! (not totally dark,just dusk)
Race events will be held on Thursday evenings with practice starting at 9:00 pm EST.

If you are having some FPS issues you can deleate the "mirror" file found in the Megane folder and that will give you a lower res mirror.

This download includes the Megane Mod version 2.02 and all the tracks for the season all installed in a custom stripped down factor install . (complete game)

I recommend unzipping this folder to wherever you have your other rFactor installs.
Mine looks like this...C:\Champion Motorsports Megane Challenge

After you have downloaded the folder,open it up and create a shortcut from the"IMWHotwire" icon to your desktop.
This is the .exe that you will start the game with.
This will give you the "Hudson Kerr" Skies and start the Challenge properly!
I also put a nice little yellow helmet .icon in the folder that looks real cool on your desktop to replace the Hotwire .icon

You may either use your "player folder" from another rFactor install or just start the game and create a new profile.

You will need this install to be compatible on our server because of various cars and tracks.

I will be accepting "custom" cars (not just painted templates, full cars only) up until July 31rst (Times up)
Templates can be found at rFactor Central.

On August 1 there will be one final download for addon cars.
No more will be accepted after this date.

August 2nd will be a practice race at "Oulton Park,International Special Event"

The Season will start on August 9th at "Oulton Park International Special Event"

This download is about 500mbs,it takes a while,I highly recommend downloading this asap.

The new Enduro Meganes are SOOOOOOO COOL!

I only tried them a few times when the new 2.0 came out, and they are a lot tougher to handle... a little looser/finicky, but still a blast to drive... just a bit more challenging!

I had it on my download manager and all was going fine but have since lost the connection and cant reconnect.

Im not fond of them either but Im stuck in the boonies with dial up so for big files its almost a must have

Just to add i started the manager up again and its working.its been storming here off and on all afternoon so that may have played into it.

For those of you that want to try the real feel plugin for rFactor on these Meganes I have tweaked my realfeel.ini file to a pretty good feeling for my DFP which is set @ 360° in the profiler with 100% effects strength, 0% spring effect and 0% damper effect. I have the centering spring selected but set @ 0%.

Ingame I have my wheel set @ 100% FFB but set on LOW.

The ini file looks like this:
