I have to say that was one of the best times I've had racing online, even without the win! Bob Milt and I swapped positions back and forth the first half of the race... The Capri was much faster than the 911 in the long straights, but the 911 had 'em through the twisty parts... Bob and/or Milt would pass on the straight, and I'd pass back on the next turn where I was faster. Bob, how'd you like my crossover on you on the last turn where you got by me??

Milt, great racing! Just finished watching the replay, and we went back and forth 2 or 3 times a lap for a few laps there. Great driving!

Devin, sorry that you got off in the gravel and that's what got me the win... I knew we had 3 or 4 laps left, and I was hoping I could close the 2 or 3 second gap... Thought I might catch you, but didn't think I'd have a chance to pass ya... You were running like a banshee the last lap, and all I could see in my rearview was tiresmoke and you getting closer! Great run tonight buddy!

Well not much to report on from me other than I was really slow. I never did get any good practice this week for the race, but I am somewhat familar with this track (having run a few other races on it) so I felt I would be ok. boy was I wrong, I needed more practice. I used Mike Tribbles 906 setup and for the practice session and first part of the race I was struggling to get the car to turn. I figured out that it was because I was over driving it, once I lifted earlier and settled down I was much smoother and a little faster. I was still way off the leaders pace with a 1:44.xxx as my fastest lap ..- Doh! Long story short, I just survived. I didnt pass anyone on the track for position and I got lucky to finish in 7th ...

I had a complete brainfart after passing Bob(and looking in my rearview) early in the race and went off track. I fell back a few spots and fought my way back up to 4th. I saw Milt but was unable to catch him. Good race and congrats to the podium.

Ok, I obeyed the rule.. I waited ALMOST 24 hours before posting my grief.

Boy what a disappointment. Qual good with a PB in the 40's I think I was 6th. Had a good start. Milt and I swapped positions a few times on lap one. Very clean, very fun. I was SOOO looking forward to the remainder of the race. I crossed the Start / Finish line at the end of lap one in 5th and made a good turn at T1 & T2 and was squeezing the power on at the exit to T3 when .... My Front Brakes locked, plowing me off into the grass. Every time I tried to put down gas they locked up again. Must have been some kind of controller glitch. DAMN! Sooo I had no choice but to park it and go storming off to cool off before I broke some hardware or worse!

David I know your ears must have been ringing.. didn't mean to scream at the top of my lungs like that. I'll buy you a new set of earphones or maybe you now need hearing aids.

    Anyway, That's my sad story. .... I could'a been a contendah!!

On to Mantorp where I hope to do better.

Note to self: The middle of a race is the wrong time to try a new braking point!!!

Also, while I have my attention, if the new braking point caused the car to plow straight off the track into the wall, breaking all kinds of necessary parts in the process, there's no reason to think the outcome will be any different several laps after getting the car fixed! I need to pull my head out of my a$$ and maybe I'll keep all 4 on the track.

I've attached the current stats & standings for the mid-point of the season.

    See you all next Thursday.
